The upcoming season will feature three major concert events, staged at the corner of West Jefferson and Franklin Streets, starting at 8:00 P.M.
- Saturday, July 23 - Central New York Jazz Orchestra
- Saturday, August 13 - Mario DeSantis Orchestra
- Saturday, August 20 - Syracuse Opera
Opening Acts preceding the above main attractions begin at 7:00 pm and will feature a fresh line-up of stellar talent.
Rain Location: Benjamin’s on Franklin, located just up the block at 314 S. Franklin St.
Street Closings: At 5:00pm, all streets in the Square will be closed to vehicle traffic through 10:00pm for reasons of safety, audience lawn chair seating, table set-ups by Armory Square restaurants (serving fine outdoor candlelight dining) and stage strike. (Other than restaurant fare offered, people may opt to picnic.)
The Candlelight Series is free to the public and remains a vital downtown event that promotes the distinct character of one of Central New York's ever evolving historic areas - one that combines business, city living and entertainment in a welcoming environment.
The Candlelight Series is a program of the Armory Square Association made possible by a Grant secured by Senator John A. DeFrancisco. The City of Syracuse and Downtown Committee provide additional support. AmeriCU is this year's Primary Corporate Sponsor. Other business donors also contributed to the success of this event and will be included in all promo materials. These are: Eric Mower & Associates, T J Sheehan Inc., Jefferson Clinton Hotel, Pastabilities, Jet Black, Blue Tusk, Lemon Grass/Bistro Elephant, Delavan Center, Eureka Crafts, Green & Seifter, Kitty Hoynes, Benjamin's on Franklin, P J's Pub & Grill and Dr. Richard Giarrusso.
