The Landmark Theatre, the ?jewel of downtown Syracuse,? is located at 362 South Salina St. in the heart of downtown, bordering bustling Armory Square. Built in 1928, it stands as a dramatic link to Syracuse's glorious past, and is acknowledged as a focal point of downtown?s entertainment district. It is unimaginable that just three decades ago the Landmark Theatre was nearly torn down to make room for a parking lot! Since that time, the Landmark has come of age. Over 200,000 people annually attend a wide variety of special lobby, as well as main stage, events and concerts, including such acts as Jerry Seinfeld, the Irish Tenors, Josh Groban, Ryan Cabrera, Blue Man Group, BB King, Glenn Beck, Dora the Explorer, and the Wiggles. Additionally, the Landmark Theatre is a unique and intimate environment for many private lobby events including wedding and receptions, proms and formals, bar mitzvahs, corporate receptions, holiday parties, and more. Striving to carry on our mission to bring a wide array of cultural events to the community, we?ve recently begun steps to renovate and improve the stage to attract a wide array of concert and off-Broadway shows.
